Flotilla 68, Salem OR in the 13th District

Flotilla Commander - Roger Moles, FC
Vice Flotilla Commander – Richard Bielenberg, VFC

As the civilian arm of the United States Coast Guard the Auxiliary has many diverse missions. The Salem Flotilla includes 20+ volunteer civilian members and has operational facilities.  We teach public education classes, conduct member-training, offer free vessel safety examinations, and provide search and rescue support and safety patrols throughout our waters in the hopes to make recreational boating safer for our local community.  We are Boaters helping Boaters, whether we are teaching a boating skills course, towing in a stranded vessel, or helping owners properly equip their boat, we are having fun and learning.

Come to our meeting, visit with Auxiliary members, ask questions, see how much fun you can have and what an honor it is to help the United States Coast Guard.

                     MEETING 09/09/2008/1900 hours:

Chemeketa Community College Building 14 at the Fire Hall.  Turn into the Chemeketa campus main entrance at 4000 Lancaster drive NE.  Take the next right turn.  Turn left at the stop sign.  The next building on the left is our meeting place.  Turn left into the driveway of the building on your left, drive past the yellow line, park at end of building, allow plenty of room for emergency vehicles, do not block the emergency vehicle garage, thank you.  Parking anywhere else can result in a ticket.  Thank you.

 MEETING AGENDA:  Flotilla Business/Member Training.

Be sure to check out our Boating Safety Info page, it lists the times and places of our Public Education courses, Vessel Safety Checks (VSC) stations, and Special Events.
